BONFIRE AT THE BEACH

We had a bonfire at the beach on Tasha's last night.

We had trouble getting the fire started

but David came to the rescue and sorted it out.

We ate pizza,

roasted marshmallows,

talked and laughed.

It was pitch black so couldn't get any pictures.

I snapped this one as the train went by.

I thought maybe the light from the train would help

but this is all I got.

We did have a great time

and we are going to miss Tasha and the boys.

BEACH

The weather was perfect

so we thought it would be a great day for the beach.

Unfortunately when we got there it was

cold and foggy.

Us adults were shivering

and wrapped in towels.

The kids on the other hand thought it was great.

SCARY

I took M and Thomas to a local Halloween store.

The masks were so scary...

kinda freaked me out a bit.

The kids thought they were awesome.

TRIP TO DISNEYLAND

We went to Disneyland

with Tasha and the boys.

Pearl was visiting for the weekend

so she got to join us too.

We had a great time.

The lines were long

and we all had tired feet at the end of the day.

I am pretty sure M thought it was real.

Tasha bought the kids each a yummy baked treat

from one of the little stores.

They were huge (and expensive)

and the kids lOVed them....

talk about a sugar high!

THE BOYS MEET THE ZOO

Thomas and Cameron meet the Zoo.

Henry really likes Thomas (the boy).

Cameron was scared of Thomas (the cat that is).

Thomas (the cat) can be kinda grumpy

so I do understand.

As long as you don't touch his tail

then everything is fine.

It is super nice

that we saw a bat flying around.

SNUGGLE AND CARTOON TIME

I came downstairs this morning to find this...

Hubby introduced M to the old Star trek cartoon

and apparently she likes it...

I can't believe my daughter is a trekkie!

who can be grumpy when frozen yogurt is involved.

ANATOLIAN FESTIVAL

We went to an Anatolian festival today.

Lots of great things to see.

We enjoyed the

music, dancing, and food.

I really felt like we were back

in Turkey for a day.

Watch out M, don't accept any gifts from the Greeks.

M loved the Turkish cat.

It has one amber and one blue eye.

Here is a real Turkish cat.

It was adorable but it would

nOt

open its eyes.

It wasn't asleep

and I swear it knew that people wanted to see its eyes.

It would hold its head up high

with its eyes vERy tightly closed.

Baklava....Yummy!

Hubby decided to try the Turkish coffee.

M said the cup looked like a doll's cup.

Hubby is normally a decaf drinker

so I am thinking he will be up all night.

Hubby enjoyed it

(well, I should hope so

since it was $5)
