IMPROMPTU BEACH TIME

We went for an impromptu visit to the beach.

Hubby hates the water

so M is trying to push him in.

I have to admit the water was cold.

We had a fun half an hour splashing around.

Of course all are clothes were wet by the end of it. 

We saw lots of groups of pelicans flying in formation...

that is what Hubby is pointing to in the last picture.

Such a pretty day! 

SWIMMING

The weather was perfect on memorial day

so M went swimming with a bunch of her friends.

Here she is looking funny in her flippers.

It was nice girls time as us moms got to chat.

50TH BIRTHDAY

It was David's 50th birthday party.

Pearl, Chris and his Mum came in town for the party.

It was a great party with lots of yummy food 

and an amazing cake.

Monica hired a musician who was top notch.

He was from wales and I just couldn't believe all the instruments he played.

A great fun night! 

TIRED AFTER A LONG RUN

PLAYING PERFECTION

It was a few minutes before bedtime

so we decided to play perfection.

As a team, we could easily beat the clock

so we decided to see who could do it by themselves.

It is actually a stressful game since you are anticipating it popping up.

this was one game she stayed away from.

FUN DAY AT SCHOOL

M had a fun event at school 

where they got to do lots of fun things 

associated with the gold rush.

I helped out and my station 

was a relay race.  

The kids had to dress up as miners 

and then race to a spot and come back.

Each team could help their members get dressed.

The kids were hysterical...

their over-sized jeans kept falling down

and one kid even ran with one boot on backwards. 

Lots of fun!

VIOLIN CONCERT

M has been taking violin lessons at school

so they did an end of the year concert. 

They were all so good...brought tears to my eyes.

BUTTERFLY EVENT

Our local state beach have an butterfly educational event.

We had a great time.

M got her face painted, 

had free popcorn,

held some butterflies,

pretended to be a butterfly,

and did some butterfly crafts.

Afterwards, we walked along a trail

to the beach and enjoyed the waves for a while. 

Super fun day!

WATCHING TV TOGETHER

Hanging out together watching some TV.

Hubby is an animal magnet for some reason.

M is the third kitty in the picture since she got her face painted.

SCHOOL PLAY ABOUT THE GOLD RUSH

M did a school play about the gold rush.

It was really cute...brought tears to my eyes.

Emma sang her songs really well!

Hubby worked from home so he could see it too.

PLAY-DOUGH TIME

M and I played with play-dough tonight...

play-dough time is always a good time!

Of course Little Kitten hAd to join in on the fun

and then Mr. Socks didn't want to be left out too.

BEST FRIENDS

Going for a walk along the harbor.

It is so nice to see the girl's pretty smiles 

since they both recently got their braces off.

RUNNING ABIGEAL

Abigeal loVes to run 

but we can't keep up with her

so we run her with bike.

Here is hubby (stealing my bike) to take her for a mile or two. 

She is so happy 

and goes so fast that she pulls the bike along.

JUST HAVING FUN IN THE FRONT YARD

MY FRIEND'S NEW PUPPY

My friends got a new puppy.

She is so cute.

She is so sweet.

I want her!

She has the most unusual markings I have ever seen

and she has one blue and brown eye.

After visiting with her

I was smiling all day.

MR. SOCKS DOES SOME MORE TREE CLIMBING

He went super high 

and then wouldn't come out.

I was trying to grab him 

but he clung on for dear life and meowed at me to leave him alone.

When he wants to climb,

he sits under the tree

and meows at it until I put him in it.

Abigeal was quite interested in the whole tree climbing business

so she sat under the tree looking up at Mr. Socks.

LITTLE KITTEN WANTS TO JOIN US FOR DINNER

EGGPLANTS ARE WEIRD

I was getting ready to cook an eggplant for the first time

(I know, I know).

M said it was weird and said she didn't want anything to do with it.

I had her help me prepare it and show her how to cook it.

It actually came out pretty tasty 

and Emma decided that it was "OK"...

that's good enough for me.
