SCIENCE CAMP

M's school does a science camp
for her grade each year.
They go for 3 days and 2 nights.
I sent M with a camera and told her to take lots of pictures.
Here are some that she came back with.

She had a great time!
It is so awesome that they organize this for the kids.
A big storm was expected on the second night so they sent them home early.
The kids were disappointed but I thought it was a great plan
since it rained and rained, and rained.

OUTSIDE FUN

LAGUNA BEACH

The Laguna Beach Museum
has a free kids event every third Sunday of the month.
They pick an artist and then have the kids do art work inspired by it.
Someone took the girls around the museum
when we arrived and talked about the artist.
The girls then painted their picture.
M's friend is an amazing artisit (both her parents are artists)
and every one couldn't believe her painting she did....she was like a movie star.

Afterwards, we went to the tide pools (just behind the museum)
The girls (and us grownups) had a blast.

A FAN OF THE OLYMPICS

Mr. Socks is a fan of the Olympics....so funny!

HUBBY AND ABIGEAL

PRIZE

M had given herself a goal of getting 100% on a math test.
I told her that if she did
that she could pick out a prize.
This is what she choose.
A scooter type thing
except to make it move you wiggle back and forth.
It really is cool and you can spin in a circle on it.
Here are some action shots of her having fun.

THE MOON

The sky was nice a clear so Hubby dragged his telescope out.
We saw the rings around Saturn,
 4 of Jupiter's moons,
 the Orion Nebula
and of course the moon.
I put my phone up the to viewer of the telescope
and got a decent picture of the moon....
it actually looks more amazing through the telescope - you can see creators.

SNUGGLE BUDDIES

ATTEMPTING A 1000 PIECE PUZZLE

M was sick with a bad cold for a week
so we decided to do a 1000 piece puzzle.
It took forever just to do the boarder
(and of course Little Kitten had to help)
We realized the coffee table was too small
so moved to the dinning table.
It took several hours to do the boarder
(mostly because the puzzle is a picture of a Miro painting so super hard)
After we moved the puzzle to the dinning table
we decided to take a break.
We were in the other room when we heard this loud noise.
Mr. Socks had jumped on the table and sent all the pieces flying.
We unfortunately gave up since we were so disheartened
from all the hard work being ruined.
Note to self - puzzles and cats don't go well together.

HANGING OUT WITH HER FURRY FRIENDS

ICE SKATING

M and her friend ice skating together

SUN SPOT

Mr. Socks loves to sit in the sun spots that come in the house.
This only one today happened to fall on the table
so that is where he sat
until I found him.

NEW OUTFIT

M in her new kitty outfit.
She loves it because of the cat, of course
