SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK TRIP

We went for a mini vacation to Sequoia National Park.

M is doing a school project on it

so we thought it would be great

for her to see what she was learning about.

The trees are amazing.

Pictures really don't do it justice....

it is one of those things that you really have to see

in order to appreciate it.

It is crazy to think that the Giant Sequoias

starting growing in B.C.

and yet they are still alive and continue growing.

TREE CLIMBING

Mr. Socks went on a tree 

climbing adventure today. 

When I took him out of the tree

his little heart was beating really fast...

too much excitement!

SOCK O MARBLES

My uncle came for a visit

and brought down many boxes 

of my Grandmothers stuff.

In one of the boxes

we found a sock of marbles

that belonged to my Dad.

M was so excited since her and her friends

are going through a phase right now playing with marbles.

It's crazy to think how old these are

and how long they have been in that sock.

Mr. Socks loves to play in the back yard 

so I give him some play time at least once a day.

IRISH FOOD

I found a new Irish pub

so of course we had to check it out.

it doesn't get any better than this.

Of course I had to have a Shandy too.
