THE STORY OF THOMAS

Here are some pictures of our last week with Thomas.
He had kidney failure with several other medical conditions
and the vet told us that it was time.
We decided to spend a few more days with him
and making it special for him.

The story of Thomas:
It was me and Hubby's first pet together.
He was a big cat (18lbs) when we first got him.
He adopted him from the animal shelter.
We had be looking for a cat together for several weeks.
I knew he was the one as soon as I saw him.
When we meet with him in the interaction room,
he attacked us and had a limp....
Nigel was not sure about him but I felt really strong about him.
After several x-rays, the vet told us it was a sympathy limp
so that someone would adopt him.
We soon found out that Thomas
had severe asthma so had to be on special food and medicine.
He was about 17-18 years old (we had him for 12)
Thomas had a special character:
He was not afraid of anything (except aluminium foil).
Everyone was afraid of him (even the dogs).
He was kinda a bully.
Hubby was his human...Thomas loved him and would stare at him like he was in love.
He would meow at his food until you shook the bowl.
He slept on the end of the bed on top of  Hubby's feet.
He loved to hang out in the back yard.
If he was mad he would yell at you.
He hated it if you touched his tail (it was broken when we got him)
He least favorite person was the Vet...He hAted him and would meow very loudly at him.  The vet and his wife were terrified of him and had to sedate him to do an exam.
He was an awesome snuggle buddy.
He loved it when M read him a story.
He would stare at you very angrily if you laughed at him.
He would lovingly give Little Kitten a tongue bath and then after a few minutes would ferociously attack her for no reason.
Because he had bad asthma, he would sneeze on you and kitty snot would fly all over you (totally gross and made you feel violated).

Thomas was the best cat ever and we miss him terribly!
